 Book - edited collection of contributed chapters. (Including conference proceedings when published in book form.)
 Conference volume.
 Journal special issue.
 Workshop or symposium volume.
 Journal paper.
 Chapter in book (including paper in conference proceedings when these are published in book form).
 Series publication.
 Paper in conference volume.
 Workshop or symposium paper, paper in institutional annual report, etc.
 Report.
 Abstract.
 Book review.
 Article for non-specialist readership.

The icons used in the Milestones..., ...Observation Campaigns, and What's New...? pages have the following meanings:-

 Scanning entomological radar.
 Vertical-looking/insect monitoring radar.
 Harmonic entomological radar.
 Conference, symposium/seminar, or similar meeting (usually open).
 Workshop or similar meeting (usually invitation-only).
